SKY HAVEN, hard urged, withstood early contention from CORDOBA, but was unable to hold the winner. WAR GLORY, in the thick of contention for five-eighths, tired fast near the end. INLANDER, hard urged, could not menace the leaders. ENNIS raced evenly. CORDOBA began slowly and had too much taken out of him in the early stages. The others were outrun. GRAND PitlNGE, at home in the going, followed KNIGHTS CAP and CAMP BOSS closely, went to the outside when moving into the lead and. hard urged, drew away slowly. KNIGHTS CAP, hard ridden, saved ground all the way and continued gamely when overtaken. RENAISSANCE, a factor all the way, outlasted CAMP BOSS in the final eighth. CAMP BOSS showed a good performance. AVALON could not reach the leaders at any stage. BUTTER BEANS closed a gap in the final half mile. BRIGHT BIRD was done early. LUCKY RACKET gained in the closing half mile, saved ground entering the stretch and was up for second place right at the end. LILLYBET, racing in her best form, challenged gamely near the stretch and held on well. SOUTHTOUR showed early speed, saved ground, but tired in the stretch. AIR KING was held safe. The latter worked her way up on the outside in the first half mile, went to the inside for the final drive, but could not menace the first two. BABEE was held safe.
