PIMLICOS COMING MEETING Maryland Jockey Club Arranges Attractive Program for Fall Racing Beginning October31. BALTIMORE, Md., Oct. 18 The Maryland Jockey Club has issued the book for the first six days of the Pimlico autumn meeting, which runs from October 31 to November 12, inclusive. The first day is unemployment day, for which an attractive card of seven races on theNflat has been arranged, with purses of 00 divided among the four placed horses, 25 to first, 00 to second, 0 to third and 5 to fourth. The . regular program, starting November 1, has overnight purses of from ,000 to ,500, with steeplechases of ,500 each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The features for the first week are the Baltimore Handicap, all ages, at one mile and a furlong, November 2; Pimlico Home-Bred, for two-year-olds, November 3, arid the Pimlico Futurity, with 0,000 added, November 5. Of the 2,078 nominations to the Pimlico Futurity, which closed January 2, 1930, 284 were void, leaving eligible the best colts and fillies in training in the country. The race is at one mile and one-sixteenth and was won last year by the flying Top Flight in a stretch duel with Tick On, that brought the immense crowd to its feet. Burgoo King, the 1932 Preakness and Kentucky Derby winner, was third. Equipoise also carried the C. V. Whitney colors to victory in the Pimlico Futurity of 1930. In order to give patrons plenty of time to return home at a reasonably early hour, the first race at Pimlico each day will start at 1 p. m. Entries will close at 10:30 a. m. the day before and declarations from handicaps will be made by 10 a. m. Th i book for the sec md week of the meeting will be issued at an early date and will contain a number of events over a distance of ground. There will be no scarcity of horses, as every stall on the grounds has been reserved. The overflow will be cared for at Timonium, whence entries for the races are vanned to Pimlico each day free of charge.
