1 SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES A. J. Pershall, trainer for the Blue Star Stable, has taken first call on the services of apprentice Harold Chinn. The latter is under contract to L. C. Coogle and gives promise of developing into a rider of ability. "Buddy" Berry is making the engagements of Chinn, who scales 100 pounds. Jockeys Earl Gross, Howard Bracken and H. Chinn, recent arrivals, got into action Tuesday. Jockey McLaren was allowed to cancel his engagements Tuesday due to a slight indisposition because of a cold. Trainers J. Helfstein, G. Nugent and H. Howard were granted licenses, as were iackeya Tracy JELeno. Don Naal.
