DUFFERIN PARK NOTES i s A. J. Halliwell has purchased the plater Moon Phase from W. Hendley. j One of the big band of yearlings trainer Harry Giddings has at Woodbine suffered severe cuts when she ran through the outside rail near the three-quarters chute, tear-in? down a portion of the rail. Fortunately jockey J. Thomas, who was astride the filly, escaped injury. Jockey Frank Mann rode his first race over a half mile oval when he piloted Master Bobbie in the second race at Duf-ferin Park Monday. Albert Songer has severed his connections as trainer of the H. A. Coulson string. Songer will leave for Maryland at the conclusion of the Dufferin Park meeling, where he expects to pick up several horses for a campaign at one of the winter tracks. Jockey N. Foden, who suffered a fall in the opening race Monday, was sent to the hospital to have an X-ray taken of one of his ankles, which was injured. It developed that jockey N. Foden fractured a small bone in his ankle, the result of the fall with Canny Age in the opening race Monday. Walter Jr., Downfall, Sixty Ninth and Miss Axenstein, which acted unruly at the barrier Monday, have been placed on starter Palmers schooling list. The following bad actors will not be permitted to race at Dufferin Park: Miss Evat, ! Tea Gown, Irish Davey, Knave of Clubs, Maggie Love, Suneila, Transgression, Fair Speed, Kulaman, Glory B., and Long Run. Jockey G. Seabo will be absent from the saddle for several days owing to bruises he received when he fell from one of C. E. Myatts two-year-olds while working. Gene Bury was an arrival from Cleveand, Ohio, where he had been serving as racing secretary at the recently closed Cranwood meeting. Jockey J. Cochlin was taken ill after riding Happy Somers in the third race and was forced to cancel his remaining mounts for Tuesday afternoon. K. Inamasu, who brought Duchess of York out of the West several years ago, claimed the nine-year-old mare back from A. Bennie for her entered price of ,100.
