1 LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES Frank Taylor, formerly employed as trainer of the Coldstream Stud, took over that establishments horses this morning. Trainer George Conway and jockey Johnny Gilbert returned from Berlin, where they went Saturday to school the Glen Riddle Farms yearlings. Edward R. Bradley is due to return tomorrow from Kentucky, whore he went to see his yearlings schooled. The following horses are members of the schooling list: Equipoise, Armageddon, By Herself, Brown Pet, Black Strap, Clay Pigeon, Chief Pettijohn, Crazy Jane, Flag Maiden, Gala Gold, Hawick, Judge Primrose, Jilted, Kai-Finn, Lavisby, Martins Croney, Meek, Miss Jaycee, Miss Muffet, Miss Kiluna, Oslo, Parting Shot, Primeval, Salama, Single Kay, Tancred, Two Tricks, Village Vamp, Westys Fox and War Lad. Jockey Elston, after turning his tack into the jockeys room, left for Baltimore to visit agent Jimmy Clair, who is confined to the Sinai Hospital. During Clairs illness, Elston, who rides at 108 pounds, will be handled by Whitey Cunningham. Jockeys Hank Mills and Tommy Malley were arrivals from New York. The first named is Americas leading winning rider. C. C. Smithson, popular Washington sportsman, is at his home. Jesse Bennett, custodian of the jockeys room, paid off the riders for their first twelve days work. The five lads drawing the highest pay were Buddy Hanford, ,559; Johnny Gilbert, 95; Don Meade, 10; Bobby Jones, 90; Tex Callahan, 85. A. G. Robertson of Baltimore, who spent the summer seeking purses over New York tracks, was a visitor. Jockey Louis Morris is the latest to join the local riding colony. He came down from New York.
