STRIP THE WILLOW RETIRED Special Correspondence. PARIS, France. A. J. Duggans good three-year-old colt, Strip the Willow, -winner of the Prix du Jockey Club French Derby and Grand Prix de Paris, but a disappointment in the Prix Royal Oak French St Leger at Longchamps recently, has been retired to the stud. After Strip the Willows recent poor performance his trainer was at a loss to explain his fall from grace until it was found that he had seriously injured one of his forelegs. Apparently pulling up sound after the race; he did not display evidence of injury until he had well cooled out. The winner of Frances two most important three-year-old stakes, Strip the Willow, a roan gray son of the 1924 Ascot Gold Cup winner, "Massine, from May Queen, by Roi Herode, from Merrylips, by the Triple Crown winner, Isinglass, from Seek and Find, by Goldseeker, should be in, demand as a stallion.
