The Agua Caliente Derby distance remains at a mile and one-sixteenth. The management considered altering it to the full distance, but, owing to the early date upon which it is decided, no change was made. The Futurity distance, formerly five furlongs, is now four and a half furlongs. Many of the leading horses campaigning ,on eastern tracks are expected to be placed in nomination for the Agua Caliente Handicap, Judge FitzGerald also announced the adoption of the racing rules of the Illinois Turf Association for Agua Caliente. In years past the Agua Caliente Jockey Club has raced without rules. The stake book for the meeting appeared today and was distributed at various racing centers, East and West.
