DISTRIBUTE dropped back steadily for three-sixteenths, then closed gamely. GAY BANNER set a fast pace, was steadied along, but tired badly in the final sixteenth. DASH IN closed a gap. CHIMNEY TOP, unrulv at the post, was not a factor.
