NEBRASKA WANTS RACING LINCOLN, Neb., July 2.— Petitions bearing I 66,759 names of Nebraska voters who re-I quest opportunity to vote this fall on the I issue of legalizing the pari-mutuel system of betting on horse races were filed today with the secretary of state. The move is backed by the Ak-Sar-Ben i Society, sponsors of the State Fair. Opposing the campaign is C. A. Sorenson, republican candidate for governor, who as I attorney general once before succeeded in j outlawing horse race betting in Nebraska.
