1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES $ s George McCamey, head of the Bedford Farm Stable, piloted a large group of west Texas friends through the Waggoner layout at Arlington Downs Friday. McCameys farm, located several miles behind the vast Waggoner plant, is one of the finest breeding establishments in Texas, and he has a splendid half mile training track included in the arrangement. Judge Julius G. Reeder, with R. B. George and E. Paul Jones, all from Fair Park, visited Arlington Downs Friday. Frank Otis, patrol judge at Arlington Downs, has been named in that capacity for the Alamo Downs season, which opens April 25, it was announced Friday afternoon by Charles F. Henry, racing secretary at the San Antonio track. Otis also will be patrol judge at several other tracks in the country, being recognized as one of the most able men for that position in racing. Otis rode for the Morris Stable, located at Morrisland, eighty miles from San Antonio, back in 1902. Me became one of the leading jockeys in the country and because of the knowledge learned while in the saddle, is a most capable patrol judge. J. W. McAuliffe arrived from Hot Springs with Valise, Pharenough and Phyllis C, which raced under the colors of former jockey D. J. McAuliffe.
