2 KILLED IN JOBLESS RIOT GALLUP, N. M., April 5. Two men were killed and four other persons were wounded n a gun battle Thursday between officers Commanded by a sheriff and a crowd of more than 200 unemployed. The victims were Sheriff M. R. Carmichael and Ignacio Velardi, a member of the rioting mob. Two of the wounded were deputy sheriffs, one of whom was beat over the head with a club and stabbed with an ice pick.
