1 LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES A. W. Flich and G. A. Litschgl are partners with Battle in the F. L. B. Stable. Jockey George South, the stables rider, returned from Covington, Ky., where he buried his wife, who died last Sunday. She left an infant child. The Cattell Stables Emil Pasha, Princess Wu, Opponent, Golden Boy, Hour Time, Manners Man and Pretty Maid, are to be sold at public sale in the Churchill Downs paddock at 10:30 a. m., Saturday. C. W. McFerron, Jr., will conduct the sale Acting for his wife, Joe Grossman purchased the two-year-olds Buck Private and Hennessy, from Jack Howard. The former is a bay son of Greenock Anna Sweep, and the latter a bay colt by Saxon Lady Coventry. For Devereaux Brothers, J. Gass, T. F. Calhoun, J. J. Farrell and Dr. J. S. McGin-nis, Henry Steele is training the following: Golden Reel, Brustigert, Pokey Girl, Cona-stanto, Axtel, Graceful Lad, Imigert, Rapa-ree, Bissy, Capt. Karo, Altoi, Cal Far, Jost Frank and Rolling Home. The stable is at Douglas Park. With all of the fixtures to be renewed during the coming Latonia meeting closing on Thursday, nomination blanks for the eight stakes and handicaps are in big demand. The Latonia Derby, 5,000 added and fol- lowing events of ,500 added each, com prise the list; Inaugural Handicap, Clipsetta Stakes, Cincinnati Trophy, Latonia Oaksr Quickstep Handicap, Independence Handicap and Enquirer Handicap.
