1 AURORA TURF NOTES . One of the oldest fixtures in Illinois racing will be the feature of the seven-race card at the Aurora race course, with which the Fox Valley Jockey Club opens the long Illinois turf season a week from Wednesday. It is the Fox Valley Inaugural Handicap, a six-furlong sprint with a ,200 purse, and this season marks its thirteenth consecutive running. Frank Seremba will haye one of the largest stables on the western turf at Aurora, with forty horses in his string. Clarence Davison is another that will have enough thoroughbreds to make him a threat for top honors at the meeting. J. D. Mikel has a string of veteran campaigners that will win their share of races of-the better sort. Work has been going forward steadily on ;the extensive improvements that will transform the Fox Valley Jockey Club plant by .opening day. The rebuilt coricretef stand will be completed on. schedule, and added pressure is being put on to complete such improvements as the free parking space within the next few days. Distribution of tickets for the twenty-one day meeting has already begun. Grandstand admission this season will be fifty cents, all tax" included. Clubhouse admission will be including all taxes. : Because numerous Illinois turfmen intend ;racing right through the Chicago circuit this season, and most of them are fairly well supplied with two-year-olds, there are more juveniles at Aurora this year than have been seen at the track at recent meetings. In his condition book for the first seven days of racing, recently issued, racing secretary Dick Leigh has scheduled a daily-two-year-old race. During the latter part of the meeting he is hopeful of being able to stage two races a day for the youngsters, for two-year-old contests are very popular with Chicago racegoers. A large crowd is expected at Auroras "open house" Sunday to inspect the sweeping changes that have been made in the Fox Valley plant between seasons. Free parking will be available. Service on special trains over the Burlington and the Chicago, Aurora and Elgin electric lines begins Wednesday with the opening of the meeting. ,.
