MEETING TWENTY-FIVE DAYS Riverside Park Officials Correct Erroneous Report of Shorter Meeting Increase Prize Money. KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 27. Officials of the Riverside Jockey Club today announced that the spring meeting of the association would be at least twenty-five days, with the possibility of extending further. This statement was given out due to the fact that through some error it was reported that the meeting would be only for nineteen days. They also announced that there would be an increase in the amount of j purse money that was to be given away dur-! ing the course of the twenty-five days, and have set the figure at ,500 or more each ! day. A complete check-up of the horses already stabled at the track shows that 180 are already on the grounds, and with reservations of more than three hundred head, which are at present campaigning at other tracks, Riverside is assured of having plenty of horses. Very little work remains to have the plant .. in first class shape for the opening. The clubhouse terrace already has been resodded, and new shrubs planted. That the track itself is in perfect condition is attested by the fact that several trainers have caught their horses going three-eighths in less than thirty-six seconds. -
