MATTIE HOUSER, under strong urging from the start, disposed of MEMANA after racing an eighth, drew ■way in the sfretch and held TRAGEDIAN safe. The latter, away slowly and forced to the oiitside for racing room, responded fast in the stretch and finished strongly. MR. ERIN, a strong factor from the start and on the inside, held on well. SPEAR, away slowly and lucky to find racing room on the inside while racing forwardly, was forced to the outside in the last eighth, but closed with a rush. MILD MANNERS made up ground. MEMANA quit.
