JOLLY FAYE, away fast but lacking speed to keep up early, moved up gamely on the inside at the stretch turn, wore down the leaders and was going away at the end. KTWO. under urging all the way, closed with good speed on the outside through the stretch. BE JUST, hard ridden following the pacemaker, was unable to keep up when challenged. REGISTERITE came willingly in the drive. SMALL DEVlL, hustled to the front, was unable to shake off BE JUST, and tired. INFINATA was unable to reach the leaders. STUMBLE was away slowly. LITTLE NYMPH raced to the front at once, drew clear in the first eighth and dominated the running throughout. CHESSIE, hard hustled from the start, raced in closest pursuit of the winner, though unable to seriously threaten. NIGHT COURT worked her way up steadily and closed with a rush. LADY CAMELOT, well placed from the start, was unable to improve her position in the closing drive. MAMMA MARY, away fast, dropped back in the opening eighth. GREAT LOVER forced the early pace, wore down JESSIE D. M. for the lead and drew out slowly. IMA GREENOCK, under slight restraint while following the pace, responded gamely to urging, but was unable to reach the winner. LEANA G., unable to keep up early, moved up on the outside and finished with a rush. JESSIE D. M. displayed early speed setting the pace, but faltered in the last three sixteenths. METTLE moved up gamelv in the last quarter though unable to enter into serious contention. The others were outrun. ALBUQUERQUE, quickest to begin, drew away into a good lead, steadied along in front, was never seriously threatened. SABLIN, well placed from the start, came stoutly on the outside through the stretch, getting up in the closing stride to wear down PARADUN. The latter chased the pacemaker closest the entire way, was placed under punishment reaching the stretch, but was unable to improve her position. TWENTY KARAT was never a serious theat. COMMUNIST moved up on the inside at the stretch turn, though unable to reach the leaders. GENERAL FARLEY faltered in the closing five sixteenths. Scratched— 12723 Witan, 113. RED ENSIGN moved to the leaders approaching the half mile ground, fought it out courageously with BOSTON BROOK all through the last three eighths while kept under intermittent punishment and outlasted him at the end. BOSTON BROOK, prominently placed throuchout, saved all possible ground and continued determinedly to the end. BRANNON, on the inside, was unable to keep pace with the leaders in the last half mile. ALBERTA, on the outside around the first turn, dropped back straightening out on the back stretch and was never a factor. LEGUME bore out around the turn into the back stretch and never could reach th« leaders thereafter. Overweight — Alberta, 2 pounds. SIXTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. PRIMUTE took command at once, cut out the running while lacing restrained, surrendered the command to KOWTOW midway of the turn, but, coming again, took command in the stretch and drew out as if much the best. KOWTOW, slow to begin, moved up steadily through the back stretch, assumed a short lead, but was no match for the winner in the final test. BOOCAP came namely in the stretch run after beine restrained early. FLOWERY LADY, well placed from the start, was unable to reach the leaders and weakened under pressure. POPO, much used in forcing the pace, weakened in the last quarter mile. HOOPS, forced to take up after going a sixteenth, was never a serious factqr.
