Belair Stud, H. C. Phipps and Ogden Phipps, Tuesday notified Roy Car-l ruthers, secretary of the Arlington Park Jockey Club that he was shipping a dozen horses from Aqueduct within a few days for the thirty-day meeting opening Monday. The -Belair Studs Omaha will head the shipment. A program has been mapped out for him by his owner and breeder, William Woodward, chairman of The Jockey Club, which closely parallels that of his famous sire, Gallant Fox. After winning the Ken- tucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont Stakes and Dwyer, Gallant Fox came to Arlington Park to capture the Classic. Omaha has been victorious in the first three of these im-1 portant events and is a strong favorite to account for the Dwyer Saturday. Then he will come west for his first appearance in this section of the country. Fitzsimmons also will be sending out im- portant candidates for the other Arlington Stakes, including Ogden Phipps White Coc2-I ade, victorious in the Youthful Stakes and generally accepted as the best juvenile so far developed in the East. White Cockade is a candidate for the 0,000 Hyde Park Stakes, to be run Saturday, July 6, and the 0,000 Arlington Futurity, August 3. For the 5,000 Arlington Lassie Stakes, to be renewed July 13, Fitzsimmons is training a formidable candidate in Mag Mell, which accounted for the Fashion Stakes at Belmont j Park. The prominent eastern trainer also has under his care outstanding prospects for the Stars and Stripes and Arlington Han-j dicaps in Belairs Faireno and Wheatleys Carry Over. ! I Jockeys William Saunders. Francis Horn and Tommy Malley are attached to the Fitzsimmons-trained establishment, and at least one of them will accompany the Arling-1 ton division. Saunders is Omahas regular pilot. »
