DIANE S., well in hand until reaching the final three-eighths and taken to the outsdie on the stretch ! turn, raced around the leaders, tired after getting up, but stalled off COURT SONG. The latter, rushed into a long lead, saved ground after three-eighths and came again after being headed, but could not get up. LITTLE DOGGIE began to improve his position after reaching the stretch, continued well to the last fifty yards, where his speed slackened, but continued to gain in the closing stages. UP WIND came from far back and finished fastest. BABY SIS also closed strongly. SOME BULL, eased when in close quarters approaching the turn, neared the lead under pressure entering the stretch, then tired. DOLBLE SWEEP ■ had earlv speed. MOUSE TRAP tired. POLYPHOTE, a strong factor from the start and under light restraint until reaching the final three-sixteenths, raced to the front gradually under a confident ride and appeared to have something left. JASCHA 1 showed good speed from the start and held on well. HALF DAY, jostled about early, came with a rush on the outside in the stretch. CREOLE BIRD showed improvement. SOCK DOLOGER made up ground gradually and finished well. CLAREMONT had speed from the start, was cleverly rated, but weakened after five eighths. SCREEN quit. LEMONT, racing in his best form and going wide throughout, began to better his position nearing the final quarter, continued well after being stiaightened and won going away. GRAND DUKE had speed from the start and held on with good courage. EMPTY BOTTLE, on the inside and away fast, had the most speed, but faltered in the final sixteenth. SEVEN PINES, taken back after racing a quarter, lost ground entering the stretch and raced well when hard urc;ed. BLACK HIGHBROW began well, but lacked his usual speed and failed to rally to light pressure. NIGHT ALARM ran out badly on the far turn. HI-NELLI dropped out of it on the turn. The latter, away slowly, raced wide throughout and finished strongly in a fine effort. IRKSOME, allowed to drop out of it, also closed with fine speed. MID VICTORIAN, slightly forced back on the far turn, lost ground entering the stretch, repeatedlv threw her head up after reaching the front in the stretch and fell back steadily in the final three-sixteenths. SHALOT, taken back on the far turn, came through on the inside soon after reaching the stretch and went evenly in the drive. ROSS made up ground. PAPER PROFITS weakened in the stretch. INTEGRITY, under top weight and having the most speed, set the pace under good rating, came away slowly and outstayed WHIPPER CRACKER. The latter lost ground while bettering his position, and, desipt* light interference, held on doggedly in the drive. BRAINS, away poorly, showed a fine effort. EVEN UP under strong restraint for seven eighths, failed to respond when urged and tired badly. THE PETTER had na mishaps. THE SINGER, reserved off the pace, appeared beaten when slightly impeded in the stretch, but recovered fast and finished well. IRISH IMAGE tired in the last three sixteenths.
