William Schmidt, owner of the Superior Stable, Charles H. Cleary and Alderman Wil-D liam OToole, of Chicago were clubhouse visitors Tuesday afternoon. Jockey F. Horn left for Narragansett to ride a two-year-old, owned by the Wheatley Stable in a stake engagement there Tuesday. Rigan McKinney, the gentleman rider, who was injured in a fall from Amangansett in the running of the Lionheart Steeplechase on Saturday has been removed to his home at Wheatley Hills, Long Island, from the Glencove Hospital. He will be up and around in a couple of days but will not be able to ride for some time, due to a small bone in his left arm having been fractured in the fall. Matt Brady was appointed trainer of the W. J. Ziegler and Middleburg Farm Stable, according to an announcement made by Mr. Zeigler, Tuesday morning. Brady, who conditioned the Catawba Stable horses and several for J. E. Davis, succeeds John Schorr. Jockey "Sonny" Workman will resume riding on Thursday, according to George Burks. The boy wished to give his injured hand a longer rest. The E. R. Bradley stable has taken a call on the services of jockey W. D. Wright for the remainder of the summer. Wright will be teamed up with Don Meade, first string rider of the stable. Peace Chance, J. E. Widener*s four-year-0 old, was scheduled to make his appearance under colors Wednesday, but the race failed to fill and was declared off.
