SYENITE, away nicely and in the thick of contention, displaced BIG ONE when reaching the home stretch, responded to stout urging and came out gradually nearing the finish. BIG ONE raced into a slight lead midway of the turn, saved ground and held on well. LUGEN LUGGAGE, slow to settle into his stride, gained fast while weaving his way between horses and finished strongly. THE MINER raced well, but could not threaten. SANG GEE raced well for five-eighths. MAEBEE lacked early speed and raced in dull fashion. SUE JONES tired after a brief flash of early speed. LAMPORTE was never prominent. WHICHPRIG swerved to the inside at the start, was permitted to gain her best stride before moving into contention, responded when shaken up, swung to the outside and finished resolutely to get up in the last few strides. MISSOURI JIM was rated back of the leaders for three-quarters, took command and continued strongly when forced to a severe drive. GRANITE ROCK dropped out of contention early, circled his field when making up ground and was going fast at the end. PRINCELY PAL was badly blocked by KIRKLAND POST from midway of the final turn until reaching the final eighth, then finished gamely. FINESSE had no mishaps. ARDAWN, outrun for three-eighths, raced up to the leaders steadily, came strongly under a drive and just la:»ed to withstand LOFTY LADY after wearing down YOUR FLAG. LOFTY LADY, slow to settle into her stride, raced to the outside when improving her position and closed with a belated rush. YAUR FLAG wore down HAPPY WARRIOR when leaving the back stretch, saved ground while in command, but tired nearing the end. GRAND UNION could not threaten. SEEMEGO raced forwardly and had no excuse. NUNS WAY had speed. EGAD was away slowh, but closed full of run. THREATENING had no speed. HOOLIGAN tired HAPPY WARRIOR broke in motion and had speed for a half mile. EASTER HATTER, quick to settle in his stride, was rushed hard to gain command midway of the back stretch moved clear entering the stretch, then hed on gamely under punishment. LADY MARNOCK, sluggish to find her best racing stride, entered contention swiftly in the first half mile, swung to the outside for the closing test and finished full of run. WORTHING fell back slightly before reaching the stretch after following close to the winner, came again and fought it out willingly. WORTHY DUKE made a tenacious effort when approaching the stretch, but faltered during the final drive. CHICKPEN broke nicely, went forwardly, but could not engage the leaders, although making up ground at the end. TRICKYS SON was outrun. EPICURUS went evenly. BATTLE PLANE displayed early foot. FRIEND CHARLEY, hustled into a contending position and rated under steadying restraint for the first three-quarters, responded willingly when reaching the stretch, withstood a stout drive gamely and was up in the closing strides. TREY outran his field to the first turn, went along in front urder slight reserve, saved ground, then continued when placed to punishment after reaching the stretch. ILCHESTER followed close up and held on stoutly in the final issue. CROFTER, never far from the leaders, could not make up any ground in the closing test. BIOGRAPHY was on the outside throughout. He showed a good effort. SHADY WELL closed a big gap and finished on the inside. UNENCUMBERED was held safe. GRAINGER showed speed for three quarters. DEDICATION, full of run after reaching the back stretch, disposed of BAYDROP, opened up a winning lead, saved ground, but weakened nearing the end when his rider permitted him to loaf. BAYDROP was displaced without effort, but held on well in the closing stages. MINDREADER went strongly throughout. HEIRESS failed to rally when put to a drive. GAL-YARROW was held safe. BATTLE OF KILLIECRANKIE, on the inside and securing racing room to reach contention, took command when HAPPY FIND swerved out at the stretch turn, then held on strongly under pressure to withstand NOBLE SPIRIT. The latter was taken to the outside after reaching the back stretch, bettered his position readily and closed strongly. HAPPY FIND sprinted into a long lead, saved ground until reaching the stretch then came very wide and tired during the stretch drive. OMAREEN closed a big gap after a slow beginning! ROCK CREST was made too much use of to reach the leaders and weakened. POWDER MONKEY went well placed early, but lacked his final rush. DOTHAIR raced well up earlv, but tired.
