Y., June 26.— Arthur "Deafie" Dudley, owner and trainer, died suddenly in Kings County Hospital Tuesday afternoon from a heart attack brought on by ivy poisoning. Dudley was born in Brooklyn and had been associated with racing for many years. He was an exercise rider for Sam Hildreth and galloped some of the leading members of the Rancocas Stable when it was at its peak. He also worked for H. Karrick and other trainers. Branching out on his own as a trainer, he was successful in patching up cripples and winning races with them. Funeral services will be held from his late home, Jamaica, at a date to be announced later.
