PURSE TAKEN FROM KHAMSEEN OMAHA, Neb., June 26.— Trainer F. P. Haldys protest of the purse won by Kham-seen Tuesday at Ak-Sar-Ben was allowed by the stewards when an investigation revealed that G. E. Ewins, owner and trainer of Khamseen, claimed twelve pounds allowance, which he was not entitled to. The winners share of the purse was awarded to the Dallas Stables Cogay, making it the second time during the current meeting that Cogay was awarded first money after having finished second. Second money went to Carbon, Sweet Chariot taking third and Goforth fourth. No action was taken against Ewins, as the officials believed it to be a honest mistake in misreading the conditions. A
