] MOUNT ROYAL TURF NOTES | ♦ : » Apprentice Frank Vallee, under contract to C. Robillard, had the first mount of his career when he was astride Stone Chatter in the fourth race Wednesday. Vallee is a native of Montreal and has been in the employ of Robillard for some time. Jockey L. Laurin reported sick to the clerk of the scales and cancelled his engagements for Wednesday. E. Davidson, trainer of Title Oak, purchased the eight-year-old Title gelding from J. Dillon, and it performed in his interest in the sixth event Wednesday. Jockey G. Courtney lost little time in donning silks after arriving from Toronto and rode Protector, Malabar, Castie and Fools Folly. Ellen D. pulled up very sore after being worked Wednesday morning and will be out of training for some time. *_
