LATONIA, Ky., June 26.— Juvenile colts and geldings will get their opportunity to race for a stake prize. The lure will be the Cincinnati Trophy, carrying an added value of ,500 and testing starters over the three-quarters distance, the farthest that two-year-olds have been asked to go this season here. With seventy-one nominees preparing for the stake, most of which are on the ; grounds, indications are that the largest field of the meeting will be in competition, as there is no limit to the number of starters in stakes and handicaps. Charles T. Fisher, Detroit manufacturer, who maintains the Dixiana establishment, was the most liberal contributor to the stake, naming five, Cool, Rollin Home, Erin Torch, Iffy and Mr. Ricks. j That J. B. "Rome" Respess, dean of Er- • langer, has designs on the stake is best told by his naming three of his cracks, Good 1 Soldier, Badge of Honor and Bold American. 1 However, no matter how much anxiety ! is embraced by the above owners, there must ] be some reckoning with Miss Lillian Knebel- ] kamps good colt, Emileo, which has per- formed so nobly in his three successful starts here. Unfortunately, Col. E. R. Brad- i ley has not named anything for the fixture, i though he has some rather promising ma- terial. Then there Is another patron who over- looked an opportunity to annex the Trophy, i : J. H. Gaines failing to nominate his good ! ] colt Adolf. I 5 The race, which had its inception in 1902, has many notables on the roster of winners, ! including such star performers as Old Rose- bud, Wise Counsellor, Toro, Head Play and , x others. j j The field probably will be drafted from the following: | Jack W., Indian Flyer, Manhattan, Re- I [ united. Cool, Rollin Home, Erin Torch, Iffy, i Adge W., Just Frank, Lunsford, Silas, Down in Front, Raymond, Holdum Brown, Emileo, Line Drive, Our Bud, Jockwell, Hio, Hi-Hun, * Leeoran, Capt. Nadi, Prince Fellow, Johnny I j Tight, Kailin, Sanskrit, Good Soldier, Bolo, Badge of Honor, Geo. Gable, Jerdan, Ank- * lets, Broadwood, Peter Pumpkin, Boston Pal, Morts Pal, Zsar, Alsang, Atit, Broadway Wild and Kendal Green. J * *
