T~~ DETROIT TURF NOTES _ —♦ C. Hyde Smith is shipping Eddie J. and five others of the Odessa Farm Stable to Arlington Park. Monte Parke received the sprinter Ima Count from Chicago. A. J. Abel departed for northern Canada, where he will take a much needed vacation. During his absence Bert McDonald is looking after the Abel horses. The fifth and final book of conditions for the Detroit meeting was distributed among the horsemen Wednesday. In addition to the Detroit Challenge Cup, the Liberty Handicap and the Detroit Juvenile Stakes are the remaining stakes to be offered. The Juvenile Stakes will feature the closing days program, July 6. e-
