MrVASHINGTON PARK NOTES | s # Prince John, Black River and the two-year-old Suppliance were shipped to Thomas Piatts Brookdale Farm in Kentucky to be turned out. They are owned by John Marsch and, if all goes well, may be taken up by trainer Roscoe Goose in the fall. Illness forced Charles Kenney, one of the placing judges, to remain in his apartment, snd Charles McLennan teamed with Sid Brown and Chris FitzGerald, Jr., in the placing stand Wednesday afternoon. Fourteen of Mrs. J. D. Hertz horses have been transferred to Arlington Park, trainer F. S. Hackett leaving Watch Him, Count Tetrarch, Our Reigh and Reigh Tetrarch at Homewood for possible engagements before the close of the meeting. P. O. Andersons Commandman and Bright Melody will be shipped to Arlington Park from Detroit, and will make the trip in the same car as J. B. Thealls Lone Star Stable performers. Sidney Bender, well-known racing official, was an arrival from his home in Ohio, and will remain for several weeks. Until passed by the track veterinarian Jackstaff will not be permitted to start at Washington Park. The horse was found to be in an unfit condition following his race Tuesday. C. C. Van Meter, with the large stable he is training for Mrs. Roy Carruthers, was the latest to move to Arlington Park. He pulled up stakes at the Homewood course Wednesday morning. Frank Ashley has been engaged to describe the races over the public address systems at Arlington Park and Lincoln Fields. An injury which Building Trades suffered while galloping on the track Wednesday morning caused his withdrawal from the third race. He came out of the gallop with a deep cut on one of his hind legs. The Old Gold Stable leaves Lincoln Fields for Arlington Park some time Thursday, according to trainer Otto Bagley. The stable is headed by Transmutable. Charles Hainsworth loaded the good three-year-old Blackbirder and his only other racer, Arakay, aboard a van, and sent them to Arlington Park Wednesday afternoon, â– oiarkbirder is eligible for the Classic.
