More than a dozen horses will go under the hammer. 1 Joe Levert arrived from Kansas City and 1 will stay for the balance of the meeting. Jockey Lee Jones will accompany the stable. An effort to obtain thoroughbreds for one running race nightly at the Des Moines, Iowa, trotting track is being made by Carl W. Hamilton. Andy Williams, veteran turfman, has re- turned to his home in Blackwell, Okla., where he will take up several horses he has turned out. He sent Delia Beach to the farm for a rest. Don Fair has been doing an excellent job on the public address system, despite the fact that he had been away from the track for several years. E. K.
