t BOWIE TURF NOTES Edward J. Brennan, who has been engaged to serve as racing secretary for the ten-day meeting, to be staged at Hagers-town, Md., stated that the book of conditions has been prepared and they would be available to horsemen sor-e time next week. Horsemen intending toface at the Hub City plant are requested to make their reservations as early as possible. Jockey F. Hendricks, who rode during the winter in Florida, joined the large riding colony at Bowie Tuesday. Joseph B. Boyle, general manager of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association, will have Mayor Howard W. Jackson as his guest in the stewards stand on Wednesday to witness the running of the featured event that has been named in honor of Baltimores chief executive. The winning owner will receive a trophy emblematic of the race. J. E. Ally and T. Cooper began schooling classes at Havre de Grace on Tuesday, and they will be continued for the remainder of the meeting. Earl Walden, of Baltimore, has been appointed to serve as mutuel manager during the meeting to be staged at Charles Town, W. Va., beginning May 30 and ending July 4. Walden visited the West Virginia plant on Sunday and conferred with the committee of that association regarding his position. C. H. "Tobe" Trotter has been appointed trainer of the W. A. Jones stable, succeeding Louis Feustel, Jr. Trotter has the Jones horses at Pimlico and will send them to Havre de Grace in a few days. Philip Beiber and Frank Hastings have arranged to transfer their horses to Jamaica on Friday.
