AZUCAR WORKS FAST MILE SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 7. Azucar, brought over from Bay Meadows to work previous to the running of the first race Tuesday, proved his readiness for the Marchbank Handicap, Tanforans closing day feature, by turning in a fine mile. Azucar went the distance in 1:39 and pulled up in good shape. His fractions were: quarter in :24, half in :48, and three-quarters in 1:14.
