PRINCESS STONE, well up from the start, failed to threaten the leaders, but held the others safe. ERB tired. MISS POMPEY raced evenly. MERRY PEGGY had no mishap. TRYANHURRY was outrun. POLY ROYAL, outrun for three eighths, was sent to the inside in the stretch and closed with a rush. FREEZE sprinted into a good lead early, but tired rapidly after relinquishing the command. ANIMOSITY, never far back and in close quarters the greater part of the trip, held on well. LOSWEEP made up ground. COURANT, outrun to the stretch, was sent to the inside and closed with a rush.
