1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES 0 Word was received from Milton Reiser, who holds the contract on apprentice Joe Tinker, that the lad would be here Friday to accept mounts. Tinker, a brother to Harold Tinker, rode six winners during the final six days of racing at Oaklawn Park. Apprentice B Neal, who arrived from Hot Springs, and P. Camp had their first mounts of the meeting Tuesday afternoon. Waldo Freeman, trainer of Mrs. Raymond Russells Cactus Stable, reports that Sla-vonia came out of her last race with a wrenched ankle and would be on the shelf for some time. J. G. Angner checked in from Hot Springs with Cycas, Helios and Peter Pepper and was given stabling accommodations at Fair Park, Dallas. Apprentice T. Meloche, who was injured when the horse he was exercising crashed through a fence at Fair Park, plans on resuming riding Friday. Friends of Ben Jones, nationally known trainer of the T. C. Worden stable, were grieved to learn of the death of his mother at the Jones home at Parnell, Mo. The death was unexpected and Jones was at home inspecting his young stock and brood mares when his mother died. Astra, Axial, Noahs Pride and Rever- berate have been placed in charge of Dr. W. G. Brock, track veterinarian, and their Entries will not be accepted unless passed Upon by Dr. Brock. Lee Erb, one of the leading trainers two decades ago, is a visitor. He is in business! ,in Kansas City and will be here for several, days.
