MARTIN BUYS WOODVALE FARM Judge John T. Ireland Confirms Report of Sale of Nursery Owned in Partnership With Sister. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 7 Judge John T. Ireland today confirmed reports that he has sold Woodvale Farm of 300 acres, near Paris, which he owned in partnership with his sister, Mrs. Mary Ireland Davis, to Roy G. Martin, head of the Electric Auto Light Company, of Toledo, Ohio. He also sold Mr. Martin eleven brood mares and seven yearlings, the mares being Best Balance, Enga-dine, Flitting Miss, Flara, Kentex, Laura Macey, Meclona, Mint Drop, Moon Winks, Myrtle V. and Occult. The yearling from Best Balance is a filly by Misstep. The other six are by Judge Irelands stallion Kai-Feng, which he retained along with the mare Bred at Home, which he owns in partnership with Idle Hour Stock Farm. He also retained a couple of yearlings and a two-year-old. Judge Ireland says Mr. Martin has booked seven of the mares to Whitney stallions, including Equipoise; is breeding one to High Time and the other three to Kai-Feng. It is not Mr. Martins intention to make his home on the farm, but he will build a new house there in which he expects to come with his family for week-ends during the spring, summer and autumn. Judge Ireland, will leave Paris, April 27, for Aurora, 111., where he will be in the stewards stand at Expositon Park during the spring race meeting, opening May 1.
