----------------------------t I DISCOVER MISTAKE IN REGISTRATION OF COLT I i I 4 LEXINGTON, Ky., April 16 The two-year-old bay colt Blazing Torch, now in Texas, is by Peter Hastings Miss Torch, by Torchbearer, Blazing Torch was incorrectly registered as by Torchilla, a son of Torch-bearer, owned by Clyde Van Dusen. The mistake was discovered by Mrs. Clyde Van Dusen, while perusing the lists of registered foals for 1934, and she reported it to The Jockey Club for correction. The mare Miss Torch formerly was the property of the late Herbert P. Gardner and was at Clyde Van Dusens Few Acres farm, here when she was sent to Dixiana to be mated with Peter Hastings. After that she was sold and transferred to Jack Howards Rookwood Farm, where she foaled Blazing Torch on April 4, 1934, and was sent back j to Dixiana and bred to Sweep All. She was then sent to T. R. Jones at Dallas, Texas, along with her foal, which was Blazing Torch. It is believed that Blazing Torch now is in the string John Hodgkins is training for R. B. George at Arlington Park.
