1 HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES S : Wm. Zakoor, acting for L. Bennett, disposed of Col. Bixer to H. H. Brown for a consideration that was not divulged. Jack Healey unloaded six members of the C. V. Whitney stable at Havre de Grace Wednesday morning, the shipment coming from Jamaica. Bright Plumage, winner of the Consolation Derby at Tropical Park, headed the shipment, which will remain in Maryland until the close of the spring racing season. A draft of thirty or more horses of the A. G. Vanderbilt stable will be shipped by J. H. Stotler to Narragansett Park at the close of the Havre de Grace meeting. Edward S. Weller is conducting schooling classes at Pimlico every morning in prepara-I tion for the forthcoming meeting at the course of the Maryland Jockey Club. Charles M. Waite, whose movie eye is in operation at this point, states that he has received notification that his device has been accepted for use at Tanforan, Calif. Dr. Henry J. McCarthy returned from Clarksville, where he attended to several horses that are turned out at the Romney Clark farm. E. K. Bryson will ship twenty horses to Aurora after the finish of the Maryland spring season for a campaign on the Illinois circuit. Following the running of the first race A. G. Vanderbilts Identify was worked six furlongs. The candidate for the Philadelphia Handicap negotiated the distance in 1:13, with the fractional times as follows: :24, :47 and 1:00. Edward J. Brennan, upon his return from Cumberland, Md., advised that the condition book for the ten day meeting to be staged by the Hagerstown Fair Association beginning May 19 would be ready for distribution some time next week. John P. Turner, Sr., who will serve as racing secretary for the Thorncliffe Breeders and Racing Association, received word from William R. Woollatt, general manager of the association, that the spring meeting at the Toronto course will run from June 2 to June 9, inclusive.
