NAVY DESTROYERS CRASH MANILA, P. I., April 16 It was announced here by navy officials on Wednesday that the United States Navy destroyers Whipple and Smith Thompson crashed off Northern Luzon. Although the ships were badly damaged, they managed to get back to the navy yards under their own power. No casualties were reported.
