JAMAICA TURF NOTES I $ : The horses of Alvin Untermyer arrived from Bowie. Sir Quest was unloaded at Camden, S. C, following a car fit and will come to New York with the F. Ambrose Clark horses this week. Bill Mosely, well known bookmakers clerk, is a patient at St. Vincent Hospital suffering from intestinal trouble. Parker Corning was among the clubhouse visitors for the opening. Max Hirsch has his horses in training. Tex Grenet was forced to miss the opening. He developed influenza. Harvey Cohn, official timer at Rockingham, was among the visitors. Pat Horgan came down from Providence, R. I., to interest horsemen in that meeting. He was accompanied by Walter Moriarty. Mild Shields arrived from California with ten horses owned by Miss A. Pendergast, of Kansas City. Val Cain was among the early arrivals. He came from Chicago and will remain for the meeting. Prank Stevens stated that clubhouse luncheon parties exceeded those at the opening last year. Jack Healjr shipped, six horses, headed by Trusmpery .and Br ight Plumage, to Havre de race. Bright. Plumage is an intender starter Grace.. Bright Plumage is an intended starter in the Chesapeake Stakes, scheduled for Saturday. He will be ridden by Sonny Workman. Marshall Field was a Belmont Park visitor and inspected the horses that George Odom has in training for him. It was the first time since December that Air. Field saw his horses. Joe Healy arrived from Miami and stated that he visited Havana following the Miami season and that prospects for resumption of racing at that point in control of American , sportsmen are auspicious.
