Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. HURTLE, a forward factor from the start, drew away entering the stretch, saved ground and outlasted TAP ON in the final drive. The latter, well up all the way, came to the outside entering the stretch and finished well. GRAND JESTER, away fast, showed early speed but was bothered at the far turn and came again at the end. LIGHT MOMENT showed an even effort. WITLESS, outrun the first part, came around her field entering the stretch. The saddle slipped on ROAD KNIGHT. Scratched 24379 Allons, 105. KAWAGOE well up from the start, responded to pressure in the stretch run and finished fast on the outside to wear down STICKEMUP in the final strides. The latter slipped through on the inside in, the stretch run, assumed brief command at the sixteenth post and held on well. ARMSTRONG made a determined bid in the stretch. SHEKNOWS was under pressure rounding the stretch turn .but faltered at the end. GUNWALE raced evenly. DREAMY ISLE had a flash of early speed. POMPEIUS and BALIOS were knocked back after the break. Won easily; second and third driving. BOLD VENTURE was rushed into command rounding the first turn, was rated along under steady restraint and finished with speed in reserve. GALSAC was kept in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start and outlasted NEAP at the end. The latter was in close quarters going to the first turn, improved his position when clear but hung at the end. INVERMARK was bothered at the first turn and was outrun thereafter.
