BRILLIANT BABY saved ground in the stretch and raced fairly well to the finish. MORFIRE was forced to take up sharply when in close quarters after leaving the back stretch, but came again to show a good effort. RUFLE was rushed into a pocket after leaving the back stretch and, forced to take back, was never dangerous thereafter. MALINO bled rounding the stretch turn and dropped out of it.
