TAYLOR HORSES SENSATION Win Five Out of Eight Stakes at Recent Tanforan Meeting. Vancouver Turfman Heads Winning Owners, His Horses Lead Equines and Trainer Cannon His Division. Maj. Austin C. Taylors silks and horses were the sensations of the recent Tanforan meeting, winning 1,000 of the total of 57,-630 distributed by the Tanforan Jockey Club during its twenty-five day session, from March 7 to April 11. The daily average was ,301.20. Indian Broom and Special Agent between them accounted for five of the seven stake races on the schedule, Indian Broom winning the Marchbank Handicap to head the list of money-winning horses. His total earnings amounted to 2,580, while Special Agent won ,295. Basil James, riding sensation of the meeting, led the riders, with twenty-five winners, closely pressed by E. Yager, who rode twenty-two. Del Cannon, L. Copenhaver and E. L. Fitzgerald tied for training honors, with seven winners each.
