I AURORA TURF NOTES 0 Ed Baker, proprietor of the Baker Hotel in St. Charles and a former official of the Exposition Park Club, was a visitor Thursday and complimented general manager Eddy on the numerous improvements. Warren Sellen, prominent contractor, has handled all the present construction work in the mutuel, paving and other departments at Aurora. There is a total of 391 horses listed to come from Texas and Maryland during the next week according to racing secretary Richard Leigh. Racing secretary Leigh forwarded Derby nomination blanks to all the owners of the principal three-year-olds of the country, Friday, asking them to ship here for the Illinois Derby, which will be run May 22. The nominations close May 15.
