t BAY MEADOWS TURF NOTES $ . e The stables of Mrs. A. M. Creech, G. K. Barber and Harry Field were shipped from Bay Meadows to Narragansett Park Thursday morning. Jockey Lester Balaski left Thursday morning for Louisville, Ky., and his saddle engagement for E. R. Bradley in the Kentucky Derby. Balaski and his bride are first motoring to his home in New Orleans for a shore visit. Then he goes to Kentucky. Mrs. R. P. Munro, Jr., purchased Vine Hill from Miss Marion Hollins at private terms. Trainer Paul Lycan reports that the thoroughbreds he is training for the San Francisco sportsman Errol MacBoyle have just about recovered from the sickness which recently retarded their training. Ernie Kothe, who handled the book of jockey Charles Kurtsinger at Santa Anita and Lester Balaski here, left for Kentucky. Ted Williams, who broadcasts a nightly race program under the name of Broadway Bill, has been engaged to air a similar feature over eastern stations during the coming summer. He will work in conjunction with the Narragansett and Suffolk Downs tracks. Walter Marty, Tanforan general manager, and Richard McStein Ludvickson, calculator at the same track, will leave in the near future for a trip to Honolulu. They will be accompanied by their wives. Eddie Thomas, Tanforan starter, has departed for a s.hort visit to Sacramento. Thomas will return to Bay Meadows before going east to officiate at Detroit. George Adams, well known Seattle sportsman, was a visitor at Bay Meadows Thursday. He left Friday on a business trip to New York.
