BOBS BOYS, taken to the outside for racing room ivhen straightened into the back stretch, worked his way to the leaders readily, assumed command midway of the final turn, drew clear midway of the stretch but faltered badly nearing the close and barely lasted long enough. TARANTO gained steadily when put to pressure, saved ground and finished determinedly on the inside of the winner. FOREST PLAY away very slowly, circled his field and closed an immense gap.. STAR SCOUT fell back leaving the back stretch frDDSvicrlniaUtSta3icd tiring hrscs-, RE-ELECTION lacked early speed and could not threaten seriously! SNOBBY SCAMP was done after going three-quarters. GOLD BAND, away forwardly and forcing a steady pace in the early stages, moved to the pacemaker readily when straightened into the stretch, took an easy lead in the closing eighth and drew out smartly at the close. CATHY P. began swiftly, showed good speed for the first half mile, but tired fast after being overtaken. SLUMP was hustled hard to gain a forward position, swung to the outside and came with good courage under punishment. WHITE SWEETS was hard ridden all the way and had no excuses. LETTER BOX, away forwardly and kept under hard urging, raced into contention steadily and, closing determinedly when reaching the stretch, wore LAURA S. down and barely lasted to stall off PUMICE STONE. The latter, a keen factor from the beginning, rallied nicely in the final test and fought it out stoutly. LAURA S. had good speed while setting the pace, saved ground and continued with good courage when put to a hard drive. SOCIETY COLUMN improved her position on the outside and finished gamely. ROYAL BALLAD luckily obtained racing room on the inside and showed a good effort. SEEDLING closed a big gap after being slow to get going. HARI could not enter contention. SWASHBUCKLER, hard hustled to maintain a forward position while on the inside, took a slight lead when midway of the turn, responded readily to a hard drive when straightened into the stretch and came out slowly approaching the finish. JEAN BART, shuffled back in the first quarter mile, swung to the outside in the last five-sixteenths and finished with a strong rush. SUNRAP was crowded midway of the turn, fell back and came again when clear. GREEN MIST was used up getting into contention early and tired when the real test came. REDLEY was in tight quarters most of the way. KEOKEE raced well. NARISE was outrun. SAVINGS showed a flash of speed in the first three-eighths. Scratched 2480PVitascope, 110; 24801 Undulate, 117. TRANSPORTER, rated forwardly in the early stages, took a slight lead inside the final sixteenth, but could not withstand the winner. DELIBERATE, a strong factor in "the early racine, disposed of ST. ELMO when reaching the stretch, saved ground, but tired during the closing eighth. SACHEM, shuffled back midway of the back stretch, finished full of run. NIGHT PLAY could not improve his position at any stage. CONQUER raced in spots. BUBBLETTE was never prominent. ST. ELMO showed good speed for five-eighths, then tired. ANREOID had nice speed early. BULL MARKET followed close up early, swung around his field to assume a slight lead in the last eighth, but failed to withstand the winner. ANNIMESSIC bettered his position steadily and closed with good courage in the final issue. FAIREST FLAG lacked speed and was never prominent. VANDA CERULEA moved clear going to the first turn, was steadied until challenged, but failed to rally when challenged. PEPPERY was outrun. CHIRAC, always a forward factor, was given a respite when leaving the back stretch and closed stoutly through the stretch. STEEL-HEAD lacked early speed, but closed with a rush to make up ground.
