NOMINATIONS FOR SPECIAL1 Forty-Six Named for Narragansetts 5,000-0,000 Race Final Closing on July 15. PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 23. The initial subscription stage of Walter E. OHaras 5,-000 or 550,000 Narragansett Special, has been reached with forty-six nominations made by thirty-one interests, including all outstanding thoroughbreds and stables in the country. The race is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, over a distance of one mile and three-sixteenths, and the final closing, which involves a supplementary nomination fee of 50, is set for July 15. The conditions as written call for this increase of purse money, providing among the actual starters in the race are included two or more horses, winners in 1936 of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, The Belmont Stakes, Arlington Classic and the American Derby, if the latter race is run this year.
