HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES S g P. S. Baird, who has a small stable under shelter at Havre de Grace, was informed of the death of his brother, Robert, at Fort Henry. The apprentice allowance was waived on Tuleyries Wand in the sixth and Overstim-ulate in the seventh race Thursday and each plater picked up an additional five pounds. Trainer John Bosley, Jr., acting for the Canadian patron, H. R. Bain, purchased the jumper Rock Lad from Miss Calhern Christie for a consideration that was not divulged. Prominent steeplechase stables quartered at Pimlico include the strings of Mrs. John Bosley, H R. Bain, Albert C. Bostwick, G. H. Bostwick, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Gould, T. Leightner and the Brookmeade Stable. These will be augmented by two fencers that T. Lee Evans has quartered at Havre de Grace. Jockey Clifford Stafford, whose contract was sold to J. Kahn, Wednesday, departed for New York to take up his duties with his new employer. Construction has begun on the stewards stand at Pimlico for the erection of a booth to accommodate the C. M. Waite camera eye that will be in use at the hilltop course.
