Cosgrove, the New York commissioner, cut the prices of the Coldstream Studs Coldstream and William Woodwards Granville and lengthened the odds against Willis Sharpe Kilmers Ned Reigh in his future book on the Blue Grass classic. Granville, which was quoted at 15 to 1, was sliced to 10 to 1 after he defeated Ned Reigh in an allowance race at Jamaica. Ned Reigh went from 10 to 1 to 12 to 1 because of his five lengths defeat.
