SPECIAL AGENTS GOOD WORK SAN MATEO, Calif., April 23. Special Agent, stable companion of Fort Springs, which is in training for the Bay Meadows Handicap, to be run May 9, is coming up to his race in good shape, and went one mile over the Tanforan course Thursday morning. A heavy exercise boy was restraining him most of the way, and he could have gone much faster. His time for the half was :54, and for the mile -:49, which is not much from a time standpoint, but it was the manner in which it was accomplished that was most impressive. Jovius, which finished third to Azucar and Dark Winter in the Fashion Stakes last Saturdajf, and which has been entered in the Bay Meadows Handicap, went an easy three-quarters Thursday morning. With Mose Helm in the saddle, he worked the distance in 1:15.
