STARAWAY, away in the, first flight, assumed a slight lead midway of the turn, saved ground until reaching the stretch, swerved out after being straightened into the stretch, but held on strongly to withstand TRUE TUNE. The latter raced close up from the beginning, lost ground when making a wide turn into the stretch and tired after making a strong bid in the closing eighth. PEGGY SHIPPEN was hustled hard to hold a forward position and showed a good effort. HARRYS DREAM closed with good energy. SWIFTPLY was in trouble going to the turn and had to be cased back. She failed to rally when coming through on the inside entering the stretch when the leaders raced wide. WARRIOR QUEEN could not menace. ACCRUE was never a factor. HAPPY HOSTESS lacked speed. CHILIAD, hard hustled to obtain a contending position, worked his way up steadily when forced to a hard drive in the last five-sixteenths, swung to the outside in the stretch and was up in the last few strides. SUNNED, a strong factor all the way, wore TITIAN KIDDIE down, but could not withstand the winner. DISTRACTING, forwardly placed early, finished with good courage in the last eighth. SILENT DON was going gamely nearing the end after suffering interference in the back stretch. DONA DULCIN had a rough trip and closed, resolutely when finding racing room on the inside in the late stages. GOODY GOODY raced evenly. CLOSE CALL could not reach a forward position. RED WAGON moved into the lead soon after the start, responded readily when shaken up entering the stretch and outstayed EPITAPH under a hard drive. EPITAPH, hustled along all the way, made repeated efforts in the last five-sixteenths and held on courageously until the close. HEADIN HOME improved his position gradually and closed determinedly on the inside after reaching the stretch. PREVENTION saved ground all the way, but faltered after making a stout bid midway of the stretch drive. WISE SISTER had good speed and raced evenly all the way. CRUISING was gaining slowly at the end. BEVEAU closed a good gap from a slow beginning. MASTER LAD was never a factor. SEMAPHORE quit after a half mile. APPREHEND lacked speed at all stages. BOW AND ARROW, well up from the start, disposed of MY COLIN to take command when leaving the back stretch, drew out into a safe lead in the stretch, but was kept under mild pressure to the finish. GALMICA, slow to find his speed, gradually improved his position when in full stride and closed with good speed. ANEROID, always a forward factor, held on gamely. NIGHT PLAY had good speed to race with the early leaders, but tired from his efforts. TWO BOB raced far back in the early stages, but made up some ground at the end. WAR EMBLEM could not keep up. The latter worked her way into contention on the outside, reached contention entering the stretch and closed with good courage. MOVIE LASS remained close to the winner after being overtaken and held on well lor the closing test. FEZ was under stout urging for the entire trip. JACK PATCHES raced well placed, saved ground, but failed to menace when put to a strong drive. CORUM lacked early speed and could r.ot threaten the leaders in the late stages. LONE HAND improved its position on the outside and came with good courage in the final test. DANCING CLOUD, slow to get going, bettered his position steadily in the last half mile and was racing stoutly at the close. TULEYRIES WAND, placed forwardly, made a strong effort midway of the final turn, but tired during the stretch drive. GUILDER shook off SCOTTY DON without effort, but tired badly in the last quarter mile. VIVA PETE was never a factor. SCOTTY DON quit badly. DALMATIA was done after going three-quarters.
