FINAL TRIALS FOR HANDICAPS Rushaway and Martin Barton Work Out for Central Centennial Handicap Saturday at Arlington. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 23. A. G. Tarns Rushaway and Martin Barton and B. Hernandez Woodlander had their final stiff preparation for Saturdays Central Centennial Handicap over a fast track this morning. Accompanied by Whipper Cracker during the final five-eighths of his mile and a furlong test, Rushaway went the mile in 1:39, and was pulled up the nine furlongs in 1:53. Equipped with blinkers, the son of Haste ran the opening quarter in :26, ths half mile in :50 and the three-quarters in 1:15. Martin Barton was limited to a three-quarters spin, which he negotiated in 1:17, handily. He was timed the quarter in :25, and the half mile in :50. Woodlander went seven furlongs in 1:32, breezing. He went along at an even clip, his fractions being :25, :51 an-7. 1:17. Although several of the eligibles for the closing days feature, which will be decided at nine furlongs, had been shipped to other points, acting racing secretary Charles F. Henry expects to have a good field under colors. In addition to those in trials this morning, others expected to oppose Time Supply are Crofter, Wacoche, Flag Cadet, Our Count, Marynell and others.
