Start eood and slow. Won handily: second and third easily. PAPENIE raced truly on the outside, responded when called upon in the final eighth, shook off DUN-LIGHT and drew aw.iy. DCNLIGHT moved into command shortly alter the break, showed early speed, raced truly and had no mishaps. HIS NIBS was placed under pressure after going the first eighth and finished with a rush through the final quarter mile. LCCKY DCCKY. well up in the early stages, faltered badly at the end and was tiring badly. CLODION, on the outside, finished with a rush through the final eighth. GRAND JFSTER was outrun. Won easily; second and third driving. YEZ was rushed into command after the break, showed good speed and drew away into a safe lead, and saving ground, held his opposition safe. SEAMYTH moved up fast on the outside reaching the far turn, swerved under pressure in the stretch run and finished well. GALA DAME, away fast but outrun in the early stages, responded to urging in the stretch and outlasted UGANDA. The latter responded to pressure in the stretch run and closed well. COUNT STONE dropped back after the break, improved his position steadily on the inside and finished well. SAN PIETRO saved ground reaching the stretch turn. GERSHWIN began slowlv. DAINGER. LEWIS dwelt at the start, moved up fast on the outside, but tired in the final sixteenth. SO SORRY had no mishaps. AGAIN was shuffled back in the early running. EARLY AUTUMN, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, was tiring rapidly in the final sixteenth and just lasted to stave off TAP ON. The latter, away well but outrun, improved her position on the inside and was going fast at the end. RICHMOND ROSE was well up in the early staees, responded when called upon, but hung near the finish. CLOCDS made up some ground slowly on the outside at the end. TOP GEM was placed under pressure in the early running, but tired badly in the final quarter mile. ALL AGOG, away well, dropped back after the break and could not improve her position on the inside. The race was run in a blinding rainstorm. Overweight — Early Autumn, 1 pound. FOURTH RACE 1 MILE. Jack High, May 24, 1930—1:35 — 4—110. The latter was outrun in the early stages, improved his position steadily on the inside, closed fast through the stretch, but hung in the final few strides when he was in close quarters. Won driving; second and third the same. BALKAN LAND forced the early pace, disposed of GOLDEN HIND, drew away through the stretch, was tirine at the finish, but outlasted FLYING CENTAUR in the final strides. The latter improved his position steadily on the inside, responded in the stretch run and was wearing the winner down at the end. GALLOP 1NG ON was kept forwardly from the start, improved its position under urging and finished well through the stretch. GEAN CANACH was bothered in the early running and, forced to come to the outside entering the stretch, finished steadily. BLEU and VIGILANCE bumped each other in the stretch run. HELLESPONT pas placed on the outside at the start and broke slowly. GOLDEN HIND quit after showing a flash of early speed. NATHAN HALE was not persevered with. Scratched— 25197 Binks, 114. PELERINE outran her field from the start, was rated along under steadying restraint, saved ground and had no mishaps. MATCH PLAY!" was kept forwardly from the start and showed a good effort. PLAY CHANCE was placed under pressure rounding the far turn, moved up steadily and then faltered. RUFFY faltered badly under urging in tho stretch run.
