HOLLIS CLAIMING STAKES NEW YORK, N. Y., May 13.— A claiming i race feature is programmed by the West-] Chester Racing Association at Belmont Park for Thursday when the Hollis Stakes is down I I for decision. It is a six furlongs dash over I the Widener course and from the fifty-two i nominations only five are named to perform j with George Odom sending out two in Rob-i ert L. Gerrys Chancer and the Arden Farm Stables Quel Jeu. The others of the small ; field are the Greentree Stables Black Buddy, C. V. Whitneys Trumpery and Mrs. A. Phil-! lips three-year old Jair. Each of these have | been coming up to the races nicely, and it seems to be such a nicely balanced lot that i a good contest is sure to result. Black Buddy, Chancer and Quel Jeu were all raced during the Jamaica meeting and will profit by that seasoning, while both ; Trumpery and Jair are making a first appearance of the season. They have shown enough in private to suggest an entire readiness.
